St. Thomas & Eastern Railway

     The St. Thomas and Eastern Railway (STER) is a growing shortline operating in Oxford and Elgin counties in southwestern Ontario. STER utilizes trackage historically known as the "Canada Air Line" which was built by the The Great Western Railway and opened on December 15, 1873.

     Through interchange with Canadian National Railway (CN) and Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR), customers are connected to the vast North American railway network and market place. STER commenced operations on the 9th of November, 1998.

Territory Description
The Trillium Cayuga Spur extends west from Delhi, ON to New Sarum, ON, a distance of 33.6 miles. STER operates into St. Thomas from New Sarum via trackage rights over CN. View Map of Line

Transload Facilities

Trillium has a transload facility located at the corner of Main Street and William Street in Delhi, ON. This facility is available for transloading of non-hazardous materials. If you are interested in utilizing this facility, please contact our Operations Centre at 905-735-5529.

Rail Service
STER provides service to customers on an as and when required basis. Traffic is normally delivered to the interchanges the same or following day.
